Earrings that contrast the beautiful grey with bright colours of the Kōkako wattles. The north Island Kōkako has a blue wattle and the south Island Kōkako has an orange wattle. In Māori myth, the kōkako filled its wattles with water and brought it to Maui as he fought the sun. Maui rewarded the bird by making its legs long and slender, enabling it to bound through the forest with ease. Dimensions: feather 4cm x 1cm at widest point.
